Ready to take the next step toward living in alignment with the Universe?
In Super Attractor, Gabrielle Bernstein lays out the essential steps for living in alignment with the Universe--more fully than you've ever done before.
'I've always known that there is a nonphysical presence beyond my visible sight,' Gabby writes. 'All my life I've intuitively tuned in to it and used it as a source for good. . . . What we call it is irrelevant. Connecting to it is imperative.' Super Attractor is a manifesto for making that connection and marrying your spiritual life with your day-to-day experience. In these pages, you'll learn to:
* Move beyond dabbling in your practice, when it's convenient, to living a spiritual life all the time.
* Take practical steps to create a life filled with purpose, happiness, and freedom.
* Feel a sense of awe each day as you witness miracles unfold.
* Release the past and live without fear of the future.
* Tap into the infinite source of abundance, joy, and well-being that is your birthright.
* Bring more light to your own life and the world around you.
This book is a journey of remembering where your true power lies. You'll learn how to co-create the life you want. You'll accept that life can flow, that attracting is fun, and that you don't have to work so hard to get what you want. Most important, you'll feel good. And when you feel good, you'll give off a presence of joy that can elevate everyone around you. After reading this book, you will know how to fulfill your function: to be a force of love in the world.

Now a major motion picture. The two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jake Bernstien takes us inside the world revealed by the Panama Papers, illicit money, political corruption, and fraud on a global scale. A hidden circulatory system flows beneath the surface of global finance, carrying trillions of dollars from drug trafficking, tax evasion, bribery, and other illegal enterprises. This network masks the identities of the individuals who benefit, aided by bankers, lawyers, and auditors who get paid to look the other way. In The Laundromat, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Jake Bernstein explores this shadow economy and how it evolved, drawing on millions of leaked documents from the files of the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca - a trove now known as the Panama Papers - as well as other journalistic and government investigations. Bernstein shows how shell companies operate, how they allow the superwealthy and celebrities to escape taxes, and how they provide cover for illicit activities on a massive scale by crime bosses and corrupt politicians across the globe. The Laundromat offers a disturbing and sobering view of how the world really works and raises critical questions about financial and legal institutions we may once have trusted.

Introducing American soprano Nadine Sierra with her debut album, There's A Place for Us. The album is not only a showcase of her stunning, MET-seasoned vocalism but also a reflection of America's history as a refuge for all. In this spirit, the album features music by Leonard Bernstein and émigrés Igor Stravinsky and Osvaldo Golijov, as well as songs from Heitor Villa-Lobos in homage to Sierra's Portuguese roots.

Offering her sumptuous voice in a range of genres from Brazilian art music to American opera and art song, Sierra reminds us that all music and all people have a place in America.

Marking Leonard Bernstein's centenary, Sir Antonio Pappano conducts the American composer's three symphonies and Prelude, Fugue and Riffs. The Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia had a long association with Bernstein, who first conducted the orchestra in 1948. “I find these symphonies revelatory in the true sense of the word,” says Pappano. “They are hugely emotive and personal … At heart, Lenny was filled with the desire for the brotherhood of man to be something real and concrete … As a great Renaissance man, he was trying to make the world good.”

Jacqueline Kennedy commissioned Leonard Bernstein to compose this massive work for the inauguration of the Kennedy Centre in New York. It premiered on 8 September 1971. Bernstein decided to write an innovative Mass and what came out is, say, a Catholic Mass getting out of hand.

The Mass is seen through the eyes of a Jewish composer with an extraordinary palette of musical styles at his disposal, the work draws on influences from religious to popular and broadway musical genres.

Requiring two orchestras, rock band, marching band, multiple choirs and musical singers, for obvious reasons, the monumental work is rarely performed and even rarer on disc.

Born out of the political and social turmoil of the 60s, its main character experiences a roller-coaster of emotions and questioning of faith. On a wide variety of levels, this work is as relevant today as it was at its inception. Nixon, then President, refused to attend the premiere after an FBI warning for fear it could contain anti-war/anti-government sentiments.

Unified under his baton, Yannick Nézet-Séguin forges a powerfully emotional interpretation of this unique work - a cross-section of European and American Music.

'My commitment with this book is to wake up as many people as possible to their connection to faith and joy. In that connection, we can be guided to our true purpose: to be love and spread love. These words can no longer be cute buzz phrases that we merely post on social media. Rather, these words must be our mission. The happiness, safety and security we long for lies in our commitment to love.' Through acceptance, surrender and a commitment to her continually evolving spiritual path, New York Times bestselling author and international speaker Gabrielle Bernstein has been transforming her fear into faith. Her stories and universal lessons provide a framework for releasing the blocks to what everyone most longs for: happiness, security and clear direction. These lessons can help us relinquish the need to control in order to relax into a sense of certainty and freedom - to stop chasing life and truly live. Ride the swell of your energy and true power to find strength when you are down, synchronicity and support when you are lost, safety in the face of uncertainty, and joy in what might otherwise be pain. Bernstein has secrets to reveal, and she is determined to unleash the presence of your power with the comforting knowledge that the Universe has your back.

Three examples of Leonard Bernstein's vocal art can be heard in this recording. His Symphony No. 3 'Kaddish' shuns traditional symphonic ideas in favor of an eclectic theatrical and oratorio-like form with a prominent rôle for speaker. For this recording Marin Alsop has returned to the work's original narrative text, heard before the 1977 revision. The Lark - heard in a concert version with added narration - derives from Lillian Hellman's adaptation of L'Alouette on the life of Joan of Arc, and it was this music that Bernstein reworked into his Missa Brevis many years later.

Marin Alsop is a Bernstein protégé, and has written fondly and extensively about studying with him. He mentored her when he was conductor of the New York Philharmonic and few conductors today understand his music better. This disc presents Bernstein the vocal composer performed inlargely original editions by one of his best contemporary interpreters. The speaker in Kaddish is the great actress Claire Bloom.
