Meat Manifesto: Proper and Delicious offers a practical and considered guide on how to choose meat, how to butcher it and how to cook it.

Andy believes you can't sell meat unless you know what to do with it and, in between personal food philosophies and agricultural insights, the book celebrates various cuts of meat, by introducing readers to them and offering delicious recipes best suited to each specific one. Andy smokes, grills and roasts his way through beef, pork, lamb, venison, poultry and even goat as recipes range from exotic (tongue, ears and offal) to basic (how to grill a pork chop).

The book will explain how to make bacon at home but also why you should be eating grass-fed beef, as opposed to feedlot. It will show you how to butcher a chicken at home but also explain how to best cook it. It is meticulously researched but presented in an approachable way. The end goal is to walk people through various meat recipes, sure, but also to strengthen the reader's relationship with their supply chain by asking them to consider if they really are happy with the status quo.

Originating from the Swakopmund Post Office and running north for 108 miles, Namibia's coast is dotted with mile markers. Weathered painted stones whose numbers have grown rich with meaning and legend, and are now inseparable from the places they signify.

David Higgs, co-owner of Marble restaurant, celebrated chef and co-presenter of My Kitchen Rules, grew up along this coastline. For him, Mile 8 is a special marker as it is where he caught his first fish and his food journey began. This is his story, beginning in the small, coastal town of Walvis Bay, through the cowboy kitchens of Cape Town in the 90's, to the heart of South Africa's lush winelands, and culminating at Marble, a culinary tour de force in the heart of Johannesburg.

With over 90 dishes and 150 recipes influenced by the journey of Higgs' career, Mile 8 is a culinary adventure bringing together the unique and interesting flavours of Southern Africa. Impala Tartare, Snoek & Apricot, Amadumbe & Chakalaka, and his version of the classic Malva Pudding are just some of the delights to be found in this wonderfully illustrated book.

Izelle Hoffman is on a mission to change perceptions about food and to increase awareness of the benefits of eating the right foods and choosing a life of health and wellness.
Did you know, for instance, that the humble sweet potato contains anti-inflammatory properties and regulates blood sugar levels? And that raw honey isn't simply a sweetener - it has antifungal and antiviral properties as well?
In Mindful Eating, Izelle encourages you to rethink what you put in your body in a fun, healthy way, and demonstrates that living a healthy lifestyle doesn't mean that your diet needs to be boring and restricted, especially where vegetables are concerned.
By sharing her recipes for energising breakfasts, quick weekday meals, sweet baked goodies, classics with a healthy (Izelle-approved) twist and family favourites, among others, Izelle aims to help you take back control of your wellbeing.
Packed with delicious, nutritious and deceptively simple recipes, Mindful Eating is more than a cookbook; it is an inspirational and motivational guide to leading a healthy lifestyle through good eating.

More recipes with more veg for more joy.

This is a book of delicious recipes, starring vegetables, with more of everything: more flavour, more texture, more colour.

Maybe you want to eat more vegetables, or less meat, or try cooking some tasty vegan meals to broaden your repertoire and still put a broad smile on the faces of those you are feeding?

Maybe you want to save money or the environment by eating more plant-based meals, or maybe you just want to keep the vegan or vego in the family happy at dinnertime without having to cook two meals?

Maybe you just want to enjoy a meat-free Monday every so often and don't want to feel like you're missing out?

Here are over 100 recipes full of vibrant colours and flavours that celebrate the pure, unadulterated pleasure that food can give you. All the recipes are vegetarian or vegan - but if you decide you'd like to add a little bacon or a slab of fish, we're not going to wag a finger. We've even included a separate cooking guide for your meaty add-ons.

Gone are the grey-meat-and-potatoes menus of the past. Each of these recipes capture the happiness that good food can bring. More combines Matt's passion for simple, hearty recipes with his love of the humble veggie to bring the whole family to the table for a delicious meal.

My Cape Malay Kitchen is Cariema Isaacs's heartfelt and poignant account of the extraordinary relationship between herself and her father and how that was reflected in their shared passion for food and cooking. She recollects all of the dishes they cooked and ate together, and shares her childhood memories of growing up in Bo-Kaap (the Cape Malay Quarter in Cape Town), lending insight into the culture, religious ceremonies and family events that have shaped the Cape Malay community into what itis today.

But My Cape Malay Kitchen is also a book about flavourful food, richly spiced curries, indulgent cakes and decadent desserts. Cariema's refreshing approach to food showcases many of the much-loved Cape Malay vintage recipes as well as a selection of modern dishes, and is ideal for anyone who needs a little inspiration in the kitchen.
